HOW WE GOT HERE

Our Story

Josh was 16 and Miranda was 15 when they first met at a high school football game in the fall of 2007. They dated briefly, went their separate ways, but somehow never completely disappeared from each other's lives.

Over the years, coed softball kept our paths crossing, and an old friendship remained. But life took them in different directions, and in 2017, Miranda moved to Los Angeles.

Seven years later, after the passing of her grandfather brought Miranda back to Amarillo, she happened to run into Josh at a random volleyball tournament. Like old friends do, we caught up and went on our way.

Missing her family, Miranda found her way back home to Amarillo for good. Not too long after, our longtime friendship began to grow into something more, and we became inseparable.

In September 2026, a last-minute work trip took us to Kodiak, Alaska, where nearly nineteen years after we first met, Josh asked Miranda to spend the rest of her life with him.

Obviously, she said yes.
